Divided into four sections of competence, Variati technical area operates on the boost of a precise objective: to develop innovative products and to guarantee total quality.

Research&Development
The Research&Development team is structured to propose solutions of a strong innovative content and to formulate new creative proposals.
Each product contains a patrimony of experience, fruit of a deep knowledge of components as well as the most advanced productive technologies. This commitment led the company to cooperate also with avant-garde research units such as the University of Studies in Milan, with which it has recently undertaken a project for the identification of new substances capable to improve the performance of flavours. 

Quality Control
Particular attention is given to quality control procedures, with the recent introduction of the most severe inspections for the entire supply chain, in conformity to egal rulings in force, work safety and respect for people and the environment .
An analytic and sensorial verification system (chemical-physics and microbiology) is in force, aimed to examine specific parameters of singular raw materials and finished products. The Variati laboratory is equipped with highly modern and sophisticated technology (mass spectrometry, HPLC, gas-chromatography and thermo-desorber) supported by a panel of experts skilled organoleptic controls.

Quality Assurance
Variati produces in accordance with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) and operates in conformity to an auto-control Haccp system.  It is in possession of the ISO EN 9001:2000 certificate issued by Certiquality.
Quality Assurance deals with the system of company quality which includes every area, from administration to warehouse and verifies that the procedures indicated under the ISO rule are respected and that the service can respond to the contract with the Customer.

Office Regulations
Customer assistance plays a very important role in the company. Because of this a reulations office in charge is capable of  giving professional support to Customers in interpreting regulations concerning Variati’s products and in keeping an updated documentation foreseen by the rulings in force at the time.
